The short answer on buying vapes online in Australia

Vaping regulation in Australia sits at both federal and state level, and the rules have changed significantly in recent years. The safest summary: purchasing vaping products is restricted, retailers must comply with current Australian law, and buyers must be adults aged 18 years and over.

What buyers need to know in 2026

• You must be 18 or older to buy any vape or nicotine product.
• State and territory rules differ — always confirm the rules where you live.
• Only purchase from retailers that clearly state they comply with Australian law.
